So Michael Jackson has sold over one billion dollars worth of music in the year since his untimely death. That must surely beat Elvis Presley hands down to the title of “King of Music.”

Some of the comments are so disrespectful to a man who was a legend. But then when you’re a legend, an icon of Michael’s magnitude that is to be expected. I’ve learned that some people intentionally wish to infuriate others because you work menial jobs, you can’t command respect from anyone and your existence is meaningless. MJ touched millions. He changed generations and he will not be forgotten. Continue to post your comment, but what you write just like what you say does’nt matter.

Michael Jackson can in no way be compared to Elvis Presley. Elvis was unique and had a great voice. He sang in virtually every musical genre that was available to him whereas Jackson has a weak voice and sang only pop tunes that appealed to teenagers. Elvis has proved his longevity with the general public he having died some 33 years ago. Jackson has only been dead for one year. It will be interesting to see how popular he will be in 2042 when the musical output has long been finished with and his fans have matured to more adult tastes. Further, if you take the billion dollars and compare it to how much Elvis' Estate earned after his death (using the inflation rate) then Elvis earned more. One should always post the inflation rate before trying to compare artists. Otherwise the current artist will always be on top.

Michael Jackson made good music, the stuff that inspires people. Thats more than half the shit some of these new artists can say. People who pass judgement on him when they didn’t even know him really should look at their own lives and rather than trying to find wrongs in others they should fix themselves. Good video. I do like the song “Man In the Mirror.” Also, my own personal opinion is that he was not a child abuser.
