It was well-acted, good from that standpoint, and clearly will appeal to strong independent women out there and a female audience generally. But for me, possibly a bit too “real” (with none of the stylisation of 'The Wire' for example) as to feel almost like a documentary. As “kitchen-sink” dramas go, I suppose that was the point.

Again, nothing too affirming for the male of the spiecies here, unfortunately. Maybe next time, then, Ms Oprah et al. Six of ten.
